Important Information Regarding COVID- 19
The Doctors and Staff at Forest West Animal Clinic are taking extra precautions to keep you and your pets safe during the COVID-19 outbreak. The health and well-being of your pets is our top priority! We plan on being here during the coming weeks to care for our patients.
You do not have to leave your car to bring your pets to the hospital. We have additional staff available to escort your pets from the car to the hospital. Call us when you arrive. A technician will meet you at the car and transport your pet into the clinic. You can wait for your pet or drop off while you go to work, run errands, etc. After a complete exam, a doctor will call you to discuss the treatment plan and answer questions. When you arrive back at the clinic, a technician will bring your pet back to the car.
If you need to pick up medications or food and would rather wait in the car, just call when you arrive and we can bring the medications/food to the car.
We are highly trained in the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases and have measures in place on a daily basis to control the spread of diseases in our Hospital. During the current outbreak, we will continue to practice these preventative measures to keep your pets safe, while implementing additional safety measures in accordance with CDC and WHO to protect our staff and clients. We are disinfecting the communal areas in the hospital every hour, including door knobs, seating, counter tops, and exam rooms. Frequent hand washing is encouraged, and we are asking our staff to stay home if they feel ill.
We are controlling the flow of clients through our waiting room, moving to exam rooms as quickly as possible, and checking in/out while in the exam room. We encourage high risk customers to take advantage of curbside drop off and pick up.
At this time, pets do not appear to be susceptible to the COVID -19 virus. However, if you are showing any signs of illness such as fever, cough, or test Positive COVID-19, minimize contact with your pets. We will keep you posted on any updates regarding COVID-19 and your pets.
If you have any questions or there is anything we can do to help you get through this difficult time, please let us know.
